A drama script by Rod Belt.

themes: Pentecost, Holy Spirit, Acts 2:1-21.
cast: 2 (male or female).
runtime: 5 minutes.

“Our youth performed You See That Every Day for the church at Pentecost, very good and funny. Few props were needed which made it easy for our low budget but it was rich in content. A year later they still remember the story which helped the Scriptures come to life. It was great!” Artemia Archie Tamayo, Associate Pastor, Greenbrier Baptist Church, Arlington, VA, USA

A drama script for Pentecost. We know from the book of Acts that the events of Pentecost (God dramatically sends his Holy Spirit upon the believers who are still reeling from the death of Christ) left onlookers struggling to find an explanation.

This drama looks at the events from the point of view of two bored bystanders. Nothing ever happens around here, they moan – and then something amazing does happen, and for once they are lost for words! Seeing it through their eyes helps us to appreciate what a mind-numbing event this was.

Congregation loved the script.

Liked the gossipy fruit and bread sellers. Liked the fact no set and few props needed. Liked that this Pentecost event was something to really wake up the two characters and lift them out of their humdrum, negative and gossipy existence.

YOU SEE THAT EVERY DAY. PENTECOST DRAMA

Used in morning worship on Pentecost Sunday.Minimum props.Basket of bread.Basket of fruit. Two elderly ladies acted it.Congregation loved it. Amused by the initial gossipy conversation which turned to awe when the signs of the Spirit descended. A useful resource
